Public hunting starts with the Aberdeen Pheasant Coalition!

Welcome to the Aberdeen Pheasant Coalition. The Aberdeen Pheasant Coalition is unique in concept and collaboration to provide funding for a signup incentive for farmers and landowners enrolling land into the USDA Farm Service Agency’s (FSA) Conservation Reserve Program (CRP) to provide quality nesting and brood rearing habitat while at the same time enrolling these same acres into the South Dakota Game, Fish, and Parks public access hunting program (Walk In Program). This program will provide a stable and increasing pheasant population, crucial to our local economy. All funds raised for this signup incentive will be spent in Brown County, South Dakota only. The Aberdeen Pheasant Coalition does one thing, provide more hunting acres for public access!

THE Place to Pheasant Hunt

The Aberdeen area hosts an abundance of wild pheasants and consistently ranks among the top South Dakota counties for birds per hunter. In fact, it’s been named first in the state as THE place to harvest roosters. Aberdeen offers public hunting land, self-guided pheasant hunt options as well as full package lodges for the ultimate pheasant hunt experience.
